First: You Need to Make Sure You Get Appropriate Medical Care

You need to get to the right type of doctor, and you need to make sure that doctor understands all of your problems. Don’t tell the doctor your knee hurts if your entire leg hurts. Only knowing all your symptoms will allow the doctor to come up with a plan to get you better.

Second: You Need to Follow Your Doctor’s Plan

If the doctor wants you to go to physical therapy, it’s important that you do that. If the doctor wants you to do home exercises, you should do that as well. The doctor’s plan is intended to get you back to work and back to you helping your family as quickly as possible.

Third: You Need to Make Sure You Keep All of Your Appointments

If your doctor tells you to go to physical therapy three times a week, it’s important that you do that. Many times in cases I see insurance companies or defense lawyers argue the fact that because someone missed an appointment means that they’re not really hurt. You’re going to help yourself and you’re going to help your case if you follow your doctor’s instructions.
